I am so distracted! I seem to be
Off the path of delight and wonder.
Right now things feel hard
Heavy, tiresome.
I know it's just a trick of the light.
Seen through your eyes, my project
Is an adventure waiting to happen,
A great safari, a secret note,
The very face of mystery and wonder.
Show me, Muses, where I can find
A spark of light, a bit of cloth
A spool of thread, a lost letter
From a passionate lover.
Show me something here that I am not
seeing.
Show me delight, passion, fear.
Lead me somewhere
I'm not expecting.
